Platform: Wii
The easy going remote that successfully deceived millions of casual gamers reconfirmed Nintendo’s position as a market leader in creating something with little. Everybody and their grandma had one, and everybody could join in on a cheerful game of Wii Sports without having to understand anything about intricate hardcore game mechanics. Luckily for us gamers, it also came with a couple of must-play highlights—and even came with retro channels that allowed you to legally emulate older generations of Mario.
